I used to prefer learning things that came easy to me.
Now, not so much.
Somehow I’m finding myself practicing pointes. At 39.
I’ve noticed that during the past few years a shift has happened.
I’m learning to do things – bit by bit – that have interested me for decades, but somehow always seemed unthinkable.
This is what motivates me now.
Skill building takes time. Flexibility takes time. Change takes time.
Struggle. Effort. Process. Practice. Patience. Plateaus. Progress.
It doesn’t come easy for me at all.
Yet, I deeply enjoy it.
Finding out what’s possible, no matter how long it takes.
And you? What long-term mission are you on right now?
