Magnolia Revisited

Last spring I wrote about our Martial Magnolia, a beautiful tree that grows right next to the building of our beloved teacher’s Dojang.

Yesterday I was reminded of it, as I encountered a beautiful blooming magnolia tree while shopping for groceries. It made me think of our martial arts classes, which will be on hold for the foreseeing time.

I am feeling extra grateful for our teachers, and for every minute of class we got to take. For now, we’ll continue to practice at home.

I also learned something today I did not know before.

Apparently, you can eat the leaves of a magnolia tree, and make tea of them.

It should taste a bit like ginger.

Did you know?

Thank you MinMoona for sharing this with me!
