Plant Wisdom – Growth & Letting Go

GROWTH/ACCEPTANCE/LETTING GO – Accept where you are right now, then let go of the past, so something new can grow ❤️🌱🌿🐻✨

‘Stumpy’ our little phoenix-plant (it has risen from near-obliteration twice now already 😅) is reminding me of a Sami guidance card (The Holy Bear) that I drew a few days ago.

(Note: you can find more Sami card readings on my (new!) Khalida Wisdom youtube channel)

She is looking all lush and green and happy lately. This was not always the case 🫣

It’s a small miracle she is doing so well right now actually, as we thought we would lose her just a few months ago.

She had toppled over this spring (calamity! my vacuum cleaner fell over because I hadn’t secured it as well as it thought, part of it then hit the side of my ballet barre, which in turn came loose and dropped on poor Stumpy)

It broke one of her 2(!) only branches 😳 and she almost did not have any leaves left at that time 🍃

I panicked for a bit and did my best to tie the broken parts of her branch together (with tomato plant together holder 😅) and it kind of held up by a few fibres still (for a while)

Slowly but surely, Stumpy managed to use her reserves (she had a mysterious green ‘hump’ at the base of one of her old branches) and started to redirect her energy into growing new buds and leaves right at her base instead of into repairing the broken branch.

She is now starting to look even MORE healthy than before, more balanced, and more ‘grounded’, as she no longer needs to invest in maintaining her (mostly empty now and too-long-for-her-roots) branches.

We also don’t need to use sticks anymore to keep her from falling out of the pot (see last picture in the caroussel for the ‘before’ situation 🫣) – which is an added safety bonus for Stumpy 😅🍀🙏🌱✨

Stumpy today <3

So.. the morale of this (planty) story? 👀

Sometimes ‘breaking’, letting go, or saying goodbye to a part of yourself (or your life, your environment) that you once depended on will be the exact thing that frees up your energy for fresh potential and growth 🌱

(after a time of healing/recalibration that is)

How about you? Is this something you recognize for yourself as well? 👀

If yes, let me know in the comments! 👇 Would love to read if this resonates with you, too ☺️
